Our History

2002-2010 After spending twelve years in management consulting delivering technology solutions to business issues, VICTORY'S founder, John Varnell, became one of the early leaders in the newly deregulated electricity market. He joined one of the first competitive REP's, Texas Commercial Energy which was sold to MPower and later to Champion Energy. John joined sevon other professionals to found a second billion dollar REP called Stream Energy. It is now part of NRG along with Reliant, Green Mountain and Direct Energy. John built his first brokerage and merged it with Magnus Energy Marketing providing full origination of power and natural gas products to the wholesale & retail commercial markets.
2011-2019 Initially founded in 2007 as Pure Energy Solutions was created to meet an unsatified market need. Many commercial clients were looking for help navigating the turbulant energy market through multiple huricanes, wall street failures, and banking defaults. In 2010, Victory Power Solutions spun off of Pure Energy to better serve its clients by reducing over head and expanding markets. Since then, Victory has remained focused on delivering cost savings to clients through informed choices and valuable solutions.
2020-2022 In 2019, the federal government shut down many businesses during the the COVID epedimic. Many clients could not survive the market shut down and went out of business. Obviously, VICTORY suffered with those clients but survived becasue of the value that was provided to the market. VICTORY has continued to grow the number of energy CLIENTS and now has developed the ability to offer them valuable solutions in other parts of their business. In 2023, VICTORY released it's Retail Business Solutions offering designed to help businesses start up quickly with best in class solutions.
